In cases of breast augmentation with fat transfer, fat is collected from another area of the body and injected into the breasts. AT YOUR APPOINTMENT
Step 1
Your breast augmentation journey will begin with a consultation appointment. During this consultation, you can discuss your personal preferences and any concerns you may have. You can also discuss the available implant choices (saline, silicone, or highly cohesive silicone, as well as implant placement.
Step 2
Breast augmentation is an outpatient procedure performed under general anesthesia. The entire surgery generally takes up to one hour.
We use the inframammary technique for breast augmentation, which involves the creation of an incision along the line where the breast connects to the chest. This location is inconspicuous and allows access to the underlying tissue for precise breast implant placement.
The implants are then placed into a pocket created either under the pectoral muscle (submuscular placement) or under the breast tissue but over the muscle (subglandular placement).
Step 3
Following breast augmentation surgery, you can return home to heal. We will provide aftercare instructions regarding how to care for your incisions and when you can expect to have a follow-up appointment. Pain medication can be used to control discomfort. Most patients can resume exercise and normal activity after one week and strenuous activities after two to three weeks.
