Advances continue to be made in terms of how the breast augmentation procedure is done. For example, past breast implants were limited to traditional saline and silicone implants. But now, gummy bear breast implants have been developed which offer additional enhancements over the traditional options. This is just one of the advances being made. The recovery period is one area where things are getting better for patients.

For example, some patients may wish to return to work as soon as possible after they get their gummy bear implants. Now, your doctor will want to make sure that you are able to get the rest and recovery time needed, so that your good health is maintained. However, many patients are now able to resume their regular work schedules in as little as less than a week. This can be an important advantage for people who are not able to leave their work behind for long. The quicker recovery periods are a result of the fact that the procedure is done in a way that is as minimally invasive as possible. If a fast recovery period is particularly important to you, be sure to discuss this with your doctor.

Some people are worried that they may suffer from fatigue after the procedure. It is true that there is the possibility that a patient will feel some general tiredness after the breast enlargement procedure is over. It’s also not uncommon to experience some soreness or tenderness in the affected area. The good news though is that this discomfort does not last for very long. Many patients find that it goes away in as little as a couple of days, or even less. If you continue to feel soreness or pain around the area, and it is affecting your ability to go about your usual routine, you can also talk to your doctor to find out what can be done to alleviate any pain or swelling.
