Angelina Jolie Voices Interest in Plastic Surgery

Saturday, March 19th, 2011

Everyone ages, and no one really loves what it does to the surface of their skin. Celebrities experience this as well.   Angelina Jolie may still be just as beautiful as she was ten years ago, but her skin does not look as taught and fresh-faced as it once did. As a result, Angelina is thinking of having many procedures done in the future to uphold her signature Hollywood beauty, according to reports.

Apparently the 36 year old movie star wants a full face and neck lift sometime in the near future.  Movie stars that are younger tend to get the bigger roles, and sometimes aging actresses get left behind.  Angelina is determined to keep her reigning title of Hollywood Beauty and enhance her natural beauty with plastic surgery.

As Jolie raises her large brood and has a job as a  full-time actress, she wants to do something to feel better about her looks and self esteem.  Cosmetic alterations have the power to transform lines and wrinkles into smooth and ageless skin.  Corrections can be made, including smoothing out wrinkles and laugh lines that make women look older.

Acne scars or dark circles can also be corrected using plastic surgery and injectable fillers. Angelina Jolie is beginning to embrace the benefits of such treatments and procedures. She was  once quoted saying that she did not want to indulge in plastic surgery. However,  as she ages, her mind seems to have changed.

It doesn’t matter what field you work in – if maintaining a youthful look is important to you, we can help you determine which procedures that will accomplish this if you book a consultation.

Heidi Montag Scrutinized Again for Plastic Surgery Comments

Friday, February 25th, 2011

Plastic surgery will always be popular, especially in Hollywood.  Some women and men understand the ins and outs of plastic surgery and do it tastefully to satisfy their desires to look a certain way.  Others are questioned for their decisions, like Heidi Montag who seems to flip-flop on how she feels about her experience with plastic surgery.

Since last summer, there has been a lot of media scrutiny on The Hills star Heidi Montag for her ten stints of major plastic surgery. Although Heidi Montag may unfortunately have regrets about her surgery results that cannot be undone, she was required as a patient of aesthetic surgery to do some research before altering her appearance in such a drastic measure. It is this that has caused yet another person to speak out against Heidi Montag; the mother of late Dr. Ryan that performed the star’s surgery.

It’s important to know that professional and reputable plastic surgeons will have extensive and numerous consults with their clients before engaging in any enhancement surgeries.  Heidi may now regret her results, but the doctor’s mother says it is unreasonable to place the fault upon the surgeon who can no longer speak for himself.

Mad Men Star Influences Rage in Plastic Surgery

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

Voted the sexiest woman alive by Esquire magazine, Christina Hendricks has taken the skinny anorexic look of Britain’s high fashion society and put it to bed. With her voluptuous curves and knock out looks, this Mad Men diva is said to have caused uproar for plastic surgery in the United Kingdom.  Statistics from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons suggest that women having breast implant surgery jumped more than ten percent last year.  Hendricks’ influence is apparently partially responsible for the statistical increase in breast augmentation surgery.

The hourglass look is definitely more popular than the waif-like look of last year. Women are embracing their curves, which is beneficial for a more positive influence on our younger generations.  These statistics are surprising due to the economic downturn of the United States and the rest of the world, Britain included.  Breast implants happen to be the most popular surgery in Britain; therefore many women are embracing looking more aesthetically plump than thin.

Plastic surgery is said to be in a great state of blossom since 2009, and will continue to increase in popularity amongst both female and male patients.  Body parts that are more noticeable seem to influence this growing change of aesthetic alteration.  For example, breast implants are still popular, but larger ears are now being covered with longer haircuts.

Media that scrutinizes skinny models and actresses are now being replaced by appreciative voices praising the fuller figure. Christina Hendricks of the hit show Mad Men says this is a positive thing for generations to come, and it shouldn’t come as such a shock that a regular sized voluptuous woman should influence such positive media. Curvy role models send out a much more realistic and reassuring body type message than unhealthy and overly thin ones.

When Christina first arrived in Hollywood, the actress was told that she was much too overweight to win any starring roles. I’ll bet those producers are kicking themselves now, seeing how Ms. Hendricks’ reputation for beauty and sexiness has taken the world by surprise.  Mad Men’s 1960s curve and cocktail nature really helped the redheaded sexy actress succeed. Hendricks also concedes that body types are beautiful no matter if they are large or small, fat or thin.

Roger Ebert’s Plastic Surgery After Cancer

Friday, January 21st, 2011

For the famous film critic Roger Ebert, it has been a long and painful journey. After suffering from cancer, Ebert has taken a step forward when he received a prosthetic jaw. The cancer, located in his neck and throat caused the loss of his jaw during his battle. For a few years, he was forced to live a life without a jaw, eating through a tube and not having the ability to speak. With new technology, Ebert now has hope that he will be able to lead a normal life once again. The plastic surgery that provided him with a lower jaw now gives him a normal appearance and the ability to have facial movements.

It took almost two years to design the jaw and it is removable. Ebert claims that he will almost always wear it when he is making public appearances. Ebert has reappeared on television with a new show called Roger Ebert Presents: At the Movies. Even though Ebert cannot speak, he is able to speak through a computer.  A company took past audio recordings of Ebert and developed a special speech program for his computer. He simply has to type a sentence in the computer and it will generate his voice.

Even before his plastic surgery, Ebert was making public appearances. He never felt the need to hide or stop living his life because of the deformity. Now, with the new jaw, he will be able to go in public and avoid the looks and stares that so many people have given him over the past few years.

Celebrities Talk Plastic Surgery: JWoww Vs Kim Kardashian

Sunday, January 16th, 2011

There are two families of thought in Hollywood; those celebrities that openly talk about their plastic surgery, and those that either don’t support it or just don’t want anyone to know that they’ve had it done. There’s always speculation about which celebs have recently had cosmetic surgery that just won’t admit to it, but this time its started a little social media war!

Jersey’s Shore JWoww spoke out about the latest rumors that Kim Kardashian has had surgery. Recently, her lips have appeared much plumper, and  cosmetic surgery is suspected. Kim, however, has denied that she’s had any help and that the flu was responsible for her swollen lips. JWoww wasn’t impressed by this denial, as she revealed on Twitter stating: “Funny how stars don’t man up to their plastic surgery. I did. Blaming it on colds is just hysterical
“Words of Deena “Get Real” lmao (sic).”

What do you think about the latest social media buzz about celebrity plastic surgery?

Heidi Montag Claims Plastic Surgeon Pushed Her Surgeries

Thursday, November 25th, 2010

Recently, it seems as though Heidi Montag has had a lot to say to the media, and her latest tactic to get back into the spotlight has been to speak out about Dr. Frank Ryan; the plastic surgeon who completed her 10 surgeries before he passed away.

The reality star spoke to ABC this week and said “I definitely think I should have been more informed. I think that doctors should really walk you through all aspects of it, not just the glamorous side of it.” The blame of course cannot simply be passed upon a doctor, as its been rumored that Montag got the procedures to boost her career which is now floundering.

This new proclamation from Heidi Montag has not come as a surprise to those in the world of entertainment. However, it does also emphasize the importance of talking to your doctor about any concerns that you may have when you’re contemplating plastic surgery and ensuring that any decision you make is for you.

Certainly, this statement will not be the last to come from the former reality star.

Heidi Montag done with Plastic Surgery

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

Heidi Montag has been an example of plastic surgery gone too far, according to many. It’s been speculated that perhaps she was suffering from a plastic surgery addiction. With all this considered, many are surprised that the celebrity is speaking out again to tell the world that she is done going under the knife. She attributes this decision to the stress of recovery from 10 plastic surgeries that took place in one session, and the death of her trusted surgeon. Initially, the reality TV star had indicated that her breast implants were too large. She was intending to get a breast implant exchange but has now ultimately decided against that.

Of course, it has also been speculated that she has only spoken out about her plastic surgery and provided conflicting decisions in order to push her way back into the limelight. But, regardless, it will be interesting to see what her next plastic surgery announcement will be. Do you think this celebrity is making decisions based on her physically needs or her desire for fame?

Symptoms of Plastic Surgery Obsession

Friday, September 24th, 2010

Recently Dr. Fiorillo was featured in an article that discussed obsession with plastic surgery.  There has been a lot of speculation by the media that celebrities are becoming addicted to cosmetic enhancements. True plastic surgery addiction is a serious issue as it has ties to body dysmorphic disorder. Just because someone has had multiple plastic surgery procedures, doesn’t mean that they fall into this category.

True plastic surgery addiction can be detected based on the following symptoms of body dysmorphic disorder. The most common relate to these compulsive behaviors:

1. Constant preoccupation with appearance – individuals with body dysmorphic disorders try to get a glimpse of themselves in any reflective surface they pass. Or, they may have behaviors that are at the other extreme and avoid looking at themselves.

2. Desire to compare appearance to others - those with BDD regularly compare their physical appearance and specific attributes to others.

3. Obsessively learning about the flaw – people with BDD seek as much information as they can about their perceived flaw. If they believe that they are too fat, too thin, have a big nose or too many wrinkles, they compulsively research and read about it.

4. Dissatisfaction with appearance no matter what – people with BDD can change their appearance and alter their perceived flaw, but there will always by something about their appearance they are never satisfied with.

Plastic surgeons are careful about operating on people with body dysmorphic disorder; but in most of the cases reported upon today, the desire for physical improvement is not due to such a severe mental health issue.

Plastic Surgery Saves Celebrity Relationships?

Monday, September 13th, 2010

It’s been speculated that both Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have gone under the knife to keep their status as the world’s most beautiful couple. However, reported motivations for this celebrity couple to go under the knife, don’t just relate to looks; sources claim they are doing it to save their marriage. This celebrity couple was once known for having a lot of passion in their relationship, but with so many young kids and a busy work schedule, that may have fizzled out. There has been no confirmation that this rumor is in fact true, but it is possible. Plastic surgery can improve relationships in the following ways:

1. It increases confidence - men or women who are not comfortable with their bodies may not be willing to show it off to their partners. If they have enhanced a perceived flaw, their confidence increases and that can translate and effect the physical relationship of a couple for the better!

2. The care process can create a bond – following a plastic surgery procedure, family members are often relied upon during recovery. While someone is recovering, they may be forced to slow down and rely on their partner more than they did before, and that can cement a bond and bring people back together.

3. It encourages self-improvement – once people have improved their bodies, they’re more likely to be inspired to improve their lives. This reinvention can include putting more focus on strengthening a romantic relationship.

Plastic surgery can have benefits for couples, but it’s also important to ensure that when considering plastic surgery, it’s something that you want for you. If you do not have interest in a surgical procedure and do it just for your spouse, then the opposite effect might occur. Think about it carefully and talk to your partner and your doctor before finalizing your decision!

Heidi Montag: Cosmetic Surgery for the Wrong Reasons?

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Heidi Montag is a celebrity that has had one of the most drastic plastic surgery makeovers to hit the news, with 10 procedures taking place at one time. Plastic surgery is of course a personal decision, but it needs to be done for the right reasons, or people may have regrets. Women who choose to go under the knife, need to be comfortable with their choices and truly believe that the surgeries will bring forth the desired results through enhancing her appearance. It’s been questioned whether or not Heidi Montag’s surgeries were her personal choice, or whether they were done simply to ensure that she remained in the limelight.

Since she has now come forward saying that she should have gotten smaller breasts and that her extensive recovery from her 10 surgeries was responsible for the end of her marriage. We may never know why this reality star decided to go under the knife, but other women can learn from her situation and ensure that they are comfortable with their plastic surgery choices before they go under the knife!

1. Talk to a plastic surgeon about the results desired - a woman should discuss the results that she desires with her plastic surgeon. Then, appropriate surgery or non-invasive procedures can be discussed.

2. Ask questions - before proceeding with any surgeries, it’s important that a plastic surgery patient ask questions relating to recovery, cost, potential side effects and if their specific needs can be met!

3. Listen to a doctor’s advice - a reputable plastic surgeon will not typically perform surgery on someone if it’s not a decision that he/she seems happy with. Listen to this advice!

4. Do it for you - it’s your body, so plastic surgery should be for you. You may be influenced by others; but in the end, the result is one you’ll be seeing in the mirror every day. You need to make sure you’re going under the knife to make yourself happy. If that benefits your career or your love life, it’s positive, but these motivations should be  secondary.
